Community Planning Administration

The Community Planning Administration aims to make accessible, maintain, manage, and develop the municipality's physical environment, infrastructure, and transportation with a forward-thinking approach. The administration's work is characterized by collaboration, a holistic view, and efficient resource utilization. Through good planning, the administration contributes to an attractive living environment that is sustainable in the long term from ecological, social, and economic perspectives.

The Community Planning Administration consists of the following operational areas: Physical Planning, Water, Sewage and Waste, Streets, Parks and Forests, and Properties, Environment and Building. The Project and Investment Unit drives and coordinates the administration's new and reinvestments.

As a seasonal forest worker, you make a difference!

The Park Unit works with the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's parks, green areas, urban forests, and playgrounds. We want to create attractive outdoor environments for citizens and visitors. In your work, you contribute to green, well-maintained outdoor areas where people thrive and socialize.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work mainly consists of clearing underbrush in the urban forest. We also perform some thinning and underbrush clearing in production forests. Felling of individual trees is carried out, and other tasks related to green space maintenance, such as grass clearing, may also occur.

We work outdoors in all weather conditions, and the work is physically demanding.

You will work in a team where you plan and are responsible for ensuring that assigned tasks are completed and reported back. We offer a varied job and would like you to contribute to developing the operations.

Supervision of interns is included in the position.

Working hours: 7 AM - 4 PM, Mon-Fri

Employment duration: 4 months, extension may be possible

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone interested in forestry work and who has a high school education. You are a responsible person who can work both independently and collaboratively with others. You can follow instructions and work efficiently and systematically. The jobs you perform are well-planned, of the right quality, and completed on time. You have a good sense of service and communicate well both within your work group and with people you meet in the city. You have good physical fitness and appreciate physically demanding work.

Requirements

• High school education or experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Basic knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You must be able to understand oral and written work and safety instructions.
• Manual transmission B driver's license
• Chainsaw certification RA and RB

Meritorious

• Chainsaw certification AB
• Chainsaw certification C

OTHER

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required. A security review with a background check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
